Starting from personal videos uploaded by our friends, video clips of films and TV series, to live streaming videos you can see there.
If you like watching videos on Facebook, then among the many videos you’ve watched, there are certainly videos that you want to watch again. Maybe it’s a video you watched a while ago, or maybe it’s one of the videos you watched a few days ago.
Unfortunately, if you don’t share the video on your Timeline, then you might have a hard time finding the video. Especially if the video you are looking for is a video that you watched a few days or a few weeks ago.
But actually, it’s not too difficult to find videos that have been watched some time ago because Facebook stores some information about what you have done on social media. One of them is the history of the videos you’ve watched.
Well, if you want to find a video that you’ve watched, but still don’t know how, then try following the tutorial I discussed in this article.
How to View History of Videos Watched Through the Watch Page
This method can only be done in the regular FB application (not available on FB lite). So, to view the video history through the Watch page, then please open your regular Facebook application. After that, just follow the following tutorial.
- Tap the “Hamburger” icon on the top right.
- Tap “Video on Watch”.
- Tap the “Search” icon.
- Tap “Videos You Watched”.
- After doing the steps above, you will see a history of the videos you have watched.
Next, you can tap the video you are looking for. Then Facebook will immediately play the video.
If you don’t find the video you’re looking for, then you can try the second method I’ve discussed below.
How to View History of Watched Videos Through Activity Log
This second method can be used either through the regular FB application or the FB Lite application. But on regular FB, the video can’t be opened. So if you want to look back at the video you are looking for, then you should use FB Lite.
To view video history via Activity Log, just follow these steps. Below I use the FB Lite application.
- Tap the “Hamburger” icon on the top right.
- Scroll down and tap “Settings”.
- Scroll down to the “Your Information” menu. There, tap “Activity Log”.
- Scroll down again. Then tap “View Logged Actions”.
- Tap ”Filters”. Then select the “Categories” menu. Note: You can also filter the time, here you can select the “Date” menu under the “Category” menu, this way you can search more specifically if you know the estimated date you watched the video.
- Next select the category “Videos you watch”.
- You will see information about all the videos you watched. Sorted by time. Next, please tap the word “Video” on a certain date. Then Facebook will play the video.
If you do how to view video history through this Activity Log on FB Lite, then maybe you will have a little difficulty finding the video you are looking for.
This is because the “Logged Actions and Other Activity” page on FB Lite only shows information about the list of videos you watched on a specific date.
There is no information that can help you find a particular video, like what and where the video you watched, whether the video was watched from someone’s timeline, from a group, etc., is not shown here. Not even the title of the video.
It might be easier to do this if you use regular FB because as you can see in the comparison of the images below, on regular FB there are video thumbnails that make it easier for you to find the video you are looking for.
But unfortunately, as I said above, the video can’t be opened so like it or not, if you want to look back at the videos you’ve watched, then you have to use FB Lite.
In addition, you need to remember what date you watched the video. Then tap each word “Video” on that date until you find the video you’re looking for.
